Proposed Transportation Improvements

Congestion Relief and Mobility Improvements - $325,606,387
Congestion relief from mobility improvements will include road widenings to increase capacity , traffic management technology upgrades and increase signal synchronization.

Safety and Operational Improvements $267,638,428
Congestion relief from safety improvements will include intersection improvements, addition of turn lanes, elimination of sight distance problems, widening lanes and shoulders, and improvements in school zones.

Infrastructure Preservation - $79,367,000
Infrastructure improvements for deteriorating roads, bridges and drainage structures. There are 34 bridges that require replacement or rehabilitation.

Pedestrian & bicycle improvements - $35,124,800
Improved pedestrian safety through the addition of sidewalks along Cobb’s busiest roadways. Multi-use trail improvements will provide more places to safely walk and bicycle across the county.

Transportation improvements within the six municipalities located on Cobb County

Additional GDOT Commitment $321,313,299
After Cobb BOC approved teh SPLOST plan on June 14, Georgia DOT agreed to commit additional funding for Cobb transportation projects.
